Michael Michaud Design: Queen Anne's Lace Ring

Michael Michaud Design

Cast Bronze with a hand patina finish. Accented with enamel, finished with a crystal dust.

Queen Anne’s Lace: It comes as no surprise that the elegant, yet striking, Queen Anne’s Lace gets its name from the resemblance to a delicate swatch of lace. As the story goes, the flower was also named after Queen Anne of England, renowned for her lace-making skills. According to legend, her ladies-in-waiting even competed to craft lace as intricate and beautiful as the flower itself. What may come as a surprise, however, is the Queen Anne’s Lace is actually the wild ancestor of the modern carrot. Through generations of selective breeding, its tough, pale roots were tranformed into the sweet orange carrots we enjoy today.

The Michael Michaud Design jewelry collection, designed by Michael Michaud, is a world renowned collection of botanical jewelry.
