Blue Cornflower: The cornflower is a small annual flowering pllant in the family Asteraceae, native to Europe. It flowers from June to August. Flanders Field in Belgium, best known for the red poppy, is also home to the Blue Cornflower. In France it is the symbol of the 11th of November 1918 armistice and, as such, a common symbol for veterans.
