Richard Kolb
Lexington, Kentucky
Richard Kolb and his father created the first Yardbirds metal structure over 20 years ago in their hometown of Jamestown, Kentucky. People instantly loved them and they began creating Yardbirds full-time. Now made in Lexington, Kentucky, each Yardbirds structure is unique, whimsical, and guaranteed to bring pleasure to its owner. To create each piece, Rich uses scrap materials as much as possible, including garden tools, farm implements, bicycle and automobile parts, and other junkyard treasures. Part of the fun is trying to identify the parts he’s incorporated into each piece.
